Did.you install the copper tube back into the powerhead before installing the lower unit?

Have you tried taking a piece of weed whacker string or similar item and running up the tell tale hole? Was it pumping water before impeller change? Sometimes you get nests in the the tell tale line that prevents water from pumping out.

is the key in the impeller? Are the washers on the impeller? Are you sure everything is lined up? Did you buy a good quality impeller?

I am talking about the rubber grommet that fits inside the upper water pump housing with out that it will lake volume of water pumping to powerhead, look in your water pump kit and see if it is in there.Check your old upper housing were the tube goes into and you will see the rubber insert. How about when you installed the upper housing did you rotate the shaft CLOCKWISE as you psh down on the housing?

Thanks for all the great info.I removed the Power head .Looking through the water pickup Tube looking from the top I can see some blockage. Using a pick it feels like Rubber maybe a Seal ? No access from the Top , How in the World would you replace it ,if it is a Seal . It would be next to impossible working from the bottom ,through the exhaust Housing . About ready to take a Break .Thanks again
