Took my boat to do a possible trade in and their shop pulled my boat in and went trur it with a fine tooth comb.

He told me ttw issues so far... one.. a bent prop shaft... Hopefully upon further investigation there isn't any seals or gears ruined....

Two... One of my cylinders had a 18% leakage... Which caused a red flag... There keeping it overnight to do a "power clean" or something like that pretty much clean it out with a chemical and let it sit overnight and see if it isn't a carbon issue.... Hopefully in the mirning it will test better...

What are my odds it's just a carbon issue and things will test better in the morning... I've only owned the boat 2 years and who knows I could have inherited the bent prop shaft...

And this is all being done at the place you're looking to trade your boat into?

If you trolled a lot, or didn't do a lot of WOT runs, then it could be carbon..
Hopefully it tests fine in the morning and you'll get a good trade offer.

They may be top of the line and above board beyond reproach, but if it still tests bad and they won't give you much in trade, I'd consider getting a second opinion on the issues..

Just a thought..... :)

It tested good this morning and finalzied the deal this afternoon... FeelingblFeeli confident with the new boat after watching the rigamarole they my boat under! I'd say they may be a litle over the top but from a buyers aspect it's a great feeling! I was kinda surprised when they offered $1000 more for my trade in vs every other dealer.... I guess they figure if nothing is wrong we will give you that were as other dealers just low bottom it expecting it to have issues...

Granted I didn't get any sleep last night stressing a out it.... But all is good and well now....

I am not sure how someone can sleep better with a new boat,
now you have to worry about a new and more expensive boat.

Kind of like a new truck or auto getting the 1st scratch or dent
