2004 DI 225hp hesitating at mid range

2004 225DI hesitates at mid range only Model E225FCXSRB Serial 05064993 Engine runs fine below about 1500rpm's, in between 1500 and 3,000rpm's it hesitates really bad like fuel is getting cut off and then above 3,000rpms it runs beautiful. No codes. In neutral it will not happen, only if under load. Filters replaced 2x (they were clean with no water and debris inside). Fuel bulb was also replaced but no change.

hows your sparkplugs look? all even colour?

I'll check them but they run beautiful out if that mid range and start great. Usually when my plugs are fouled or worn they are a *itch to start. Someone suggested the TPS and when I googled it I think that's the problem. I'm going that route first (but I will check my plugs thanks)
