2004 f150 yamaha harmonic balancer

Hi, brand new member here. I saw on on a thread that there is a shortcut for the install of the balancer on a 2004 F150 Yamaha. Mine isn't making any noise, but was thinking of make the change out. I have fair mechanical capabilties, and thought of doing it myself. I plan to get a service manual and think I can do it myself. I would really appreciate help and opinions on this. Thanks

I saw it somewhere on the official Yamaha web site...supposedly it can be done without removing the flywheel, but looks like a fairly detailed procedure involving lining up certain marks on the rotating elements in a particular way. Maybe yours won't be one that fails or gives trouble?

Thanks for the quick reply. If I change it, it will be after this winter. I guess I'll just keep my ear on it for a while.
