I just changed out the throttle and control cables for my 2004 mercury 135hp optimax DFI. while running in the water it suddenly stopped. I would accelerate and it would not respond. I played with the linkage and got a response. I figured it was the cable. after installing the new cable the motor turns but does not stay on. any thoughts?
