I have a bay boat I'm selling and I have a guy offering to do a partial trade with his 2004 Scout sport177. He claims it's rated and has a 150 horse Yamaha 4-stroke. I've been looking everywhere I can for 3 Days in my spare time and have not found one. That is rated for anything above a 115 horsepower. Can anyone verify whether or not such a boat exists. I intend to call Scout corporate tomorrow just to find out. I definitely do not want a boat that is overpowered by 35 hp and roughly 110 lb heavier. Besides the fact that it would be illegal.

It's the Scout sport 177. The sport fish is more of a bay boat which I know is rated for 150 HP. Still haven't been able to find one that was rated for anything more than 115 horsepower. Which makes sense to me because the specs say it'll do about 52 miles an hour that's fast enough in a 17 and a half foot boat.

We can close this post I've decided against this deal. The person is giving me too many different answers to simple questions. Thanks for all your help I'm going to search elsewhere for a flats boat.
