2004 Volvo SX drive no forward?

I have a problem with my 04 SX drive, it does not like to go into forward gear, reverse works perfectly. I have adjusted the cable, and lubed up the control, but the problem seems to be getting worse. I have checked the shifter arm on the lower unit, and I have full range of motion when the cable moves. When in reverse I can only move the prop one way, in forward the prop will move both ways, but with some resistance. It will engage into forward but only after some delay, wiggling the control does not help, when it does engage, it works fine, no noise or vibration. Any ideas?

If the shift arm (K in picture) is going all the way into forward, (Turn by hand to see if it goes further after shifting with control) then the cone in the drive has probably worn from previous slippage and will now not hold. The only option is to have a new cone installed.

The arm moves all the way by the cable, if I remove the cable, the arm will not move any further. I bought this boat new and it only has about 100 hrs. or less, the cone should not be worn already should it?

It also has a factory 2 year warranty. When did the boat go into service?

Sept. 04, so yes it's still a warranty issue. It's at my dealer now, but he said that he's never seen one break or wear out. I'm hoping it might be just some chips or dirt in the cone preventing it from dropping down all the way. When it does engage it works good, and reverse works perfect so we'll just have to take it apart and see I guess.
