2004 vs 2005 90 Merc 4-stroke

I was looking at two boats with 90 hp 4-strokes on them and the cowlings had somewhat different lettering/graphics were different - the 2004 just said "four stroke" and the 2005 said "4 stroke EFI"<br /><br />Anyone know the difference between these engines, and if there is a problem with the 2004 engines?

efi: electronic fuel injection, 2004 is probably carburated in stead

One is a carby, one is an EFI.<br /><br />I have a 2004 4stroke EFI - love it.
