2005 225hp 4stroke PROBLEMS

I have twin 225 4 strokes and last season at 200hrs I had to replace the high pressure fuel pump on the starboard engine. I change the fuel filters every 50hrs because of the ethanol fuel. When the boat was winterized both engines ran great. When the boat was put in the water last week neither engine would stay started idled around 300rpm?s. Dealer thinks is the pumps again. 265hrs on them now

Has anyone else had these issues?

I have the same motor on my hyd sprt and 405 hours never had a problem. My buddy had the same year and hp on his maritime skiff and has about 350 hours and no issues.

We both pull out and fuel on the "road" to avoid the crap gas in the marina. The ethanol really sucks up the water.

There are about 8-10 225's in my club and all have ben problem free.

have them pressure test the pump, yami might help u on this one
