2005 hpdi 150 problem

have twin 150 hpdi's and took the boat out for the first time this season a couple of weeks ago. All ran well except the port motor at idle in neutral. Whenever i put it in nuetral that alarm that sounds when you first turn the key on comes on and wont stop until you put it in forward gear. No other indicator or warning is visible on the guages when this happens. When running and in forward gear it runs fine with no alarm. ?????

check your engine mounted primary fuel filter, if the float is floating you have water in it, if no water is present your water detect switch has failed.
call yamaha if it failed and whine like a baby and most likly they will replace the cup free,
some anganeer decided to set up the water detect so it will only sound in N.
