Bought a 2005 1903 Trophy CC this year. It has a 125hp Merc 2-stoke Saltwater Series. The engine has run great all season. The previous owner barely ran it, only had 45 hrs on it. The only issue has been the starter. On occassion, sometimes worse than others, the starter will stick. It usually happens when there is a misfire. You can hear the starter motor mumming and you cant get it to shut off. I have to kill the battery and start it by turning the battery back on, whic works fine and then when I shut down the motor the starter is off. I am guessing something is sticking in the starter or inginition key, or worse something electrical. Anyone have similar experience. I really love this motor otherwise.
