The factory Idle setting plate on the motor says 650 RPM. The sticker on the AirBox says that idle should be no higher than 800RPM or could cause shifting problems. Thats all fine and good. What I'd like to know is how/where to set the idle (lower). Is it simply turning a screw (in/out) like engines in the "old" days ? If so, where can I find the idle adj screw ?
Did a forum search for 'MERC IDLE set' but nothing turned up.
