2005 mercury 200 efi salt water model 2.5 liter running hot

so i have tried just about everything new thermostats , new water pump , new poppet poppet valve motor still running 175 to 200 degrees put the gun on it same thing a few degrees less . ran it warm all spring 175 figured that was normal i asked the mecahnic if he put the bead of hi temp permatex on the water pump housing he said no could that be my problem

so when i leave the doc there is a long no wake zone temp reads 175 on the gauge i put a temp gun on it at slow speeds its close maybe 5 to 10 degrees cooler then when i take off the over heat steady beep comes on so i bring throttle back reset then fine the whole day just real hot water coming out pee whole and gauge reads 175 to 200 i think its running real close to the alarm going off again i did compression test in spring and all was like 120 motor always ran warm in spring also it just runs so good i dont want to blow it up

Pull and clean divider plate between the cylinders first
