i bought this motor new in 2005 and given its age it’s really had very minimal use. Runs great. While out fishing yesterday, it suddenly stopped engaging into reverse. My first thought was that it was some kind of adjustment. After close examination, I don’t think that’s it. This is a tiller control model, when I try and turn the handle to engage reverse from neutral, it just stops, you can’t turn it and engage reverse. The mechanism seems to be working properly, but something is stopping it from actually engaging. We are on vacation fishing with it, so I’d appreciate an opinion about it ASAP. Thanks.
