Hi Yamaha folks, Im looking to buy a new boat and have found one that fits my family's needs (20' NauticStar DeckBoat). Boat has a 2005 Yamaha 115hp OB (sorry I don't know model # or any more details from internet listing). Do yall have any opinions on this motor or is there anything I should be on the look out for? I plan to take a trip to look at it this weekend.
I'm no mechanic but am fairly handy. My experience with boats is limited to my old (1996) pontoon that had a 75hp Force (I was successfully able to tinker with it, thanks to everyone on these boards, though she has now died at the hands of a rogue tree and thunderstorm...)
I'd be grateful for any opinions on the NauticStar as well but realize this may not be the appropriate message board. FWIW, asking price is 11,995 and comes with trailer, appears to be in good, not great, shape for a 12 yr old boat.
