I went down to my dock in early spring to check the pontoon out and start the motor to check that everything was working correctly after the winter.
Engine started right up and ran for probably 25-30 seconds and quit. It has not fired a lick since.
When i first diagnosed I could not hear the high pressure pump in the vst come on when I turned the key on so I thought maybe the pump quit working so I replaced it and motor would still not start.
I pushed down on the Schrader valve on top of the fuel rail and there was nothing to come out and seemed like fuel rail had no fuel in it.
So next step I unhooked the high pressure fuel line from the fuel rail and turned the key and the pump would run for maybe 2-3 seconds and stop.
At this point I am stumped, shouldn't the pump run until it builds pressure in the fuel rail?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
