I have a 2006 HPDI that will not rev past 2500rpm. Sometimes it will surege up to 3600.
So far i have checked the following.
replaced
VTS pump filter
VTS Metal filter
Pre VTS Filter.
I have monitered both medium and HP under load. Medium is 50psi and HP is approx 720psi (on YDS). I also attached a multimeter to the pressure sensor (pink and orange wires) Manual says the voltage should be 3.2 at idle. I am only seeing 2.0 approx. Voltage reduces with increased pressure.
Manual says the pink and orange wires, but I have seen a post somewhere that specified the pink and black wire.
So pressures are all goood
All 6 cylinders are running once engine is in gear.
I then removed the 2 HP pump internal filters as they are post the pressure sensor.
I pulsed all 6 injectors using YDS and 1 did not pulse, replace this injector and still problem remains.
I then made up a jig that allowed me to pulse the injectors while turning the key. This allow me to pulse injectors under full pressure. All spray patterns looked the same.
I am baffled what is happening here.
One thing I did notice is the priming bulb is always soft (squishy). I also observed that the inlet and outlet of the bulb were squashed slightly.
However all running fuel pressure look good so what the hell is going on here.
