2006 150xl efi fuel consumption while trolling deep sea fishing

hi there, im looking at a 24ft sea vee with twin 2006 150xl efi 2 stroke engines.

i usually only go deep sea fishing trolling, in the 6 to 8mph range all day, a usual run average 30 miles, my question is what kind of average fuel consumption am i to expect from these engines per gallon, please give me the consumption per engine, not for both.

im very desperate because i really like the boat, but im very scared that these engines are going to suck my wallet to death.

thanks in advance for any help.
i just need to stay at least under 200 us a day for my trips, fuel here is 6 us a gallon by the way.

1gal/hr for every 10 hp. Thats 30 gallons per hour in your case with your 300 HP. for a 24 foot displacement hull running 35 MPH at 4000-4500 ish you'd be well under your $200 max.

your saying that i will be using 30 gallons per hour trolling at a speed of 7 miles per hour ?

7 hours of trolling at 30 gallon an hour thats 210 gallons, thats 1260 US for a day of trolling ?

im looking to not pass the 200 US per day, not 200 gallons !!!!!!! :O

i would assume that both engines in gear, idling should put the boat easily in the 7 mph range, how much can they burn that way ?

No . Typical mid range fuel consumption is 1 gallon per hour per 10 HP. You arent going to be running mid range and you arent going to be pushing more than 20 HP per motor trolling. Of course the question comes up why would you be trolling off both motors? You did say you had a 30 mile range?

i usually start fishing as soon i leave the marina and i usually troll around 6 to 7 hours each time, of course i will only need 1 engine for that, so if im guess right i may get about 3 nautical miles per gallon, does that make sense ?

That sound about right. I think you'll be well under your max for fuel consumption.
