2006 25hp with no spark

What I've done.

Put my strobe light on and it flashes (odd), put a spark gap tester on and nothing. Checked the trigger Volts to the coils and only get 9.5 volts, something not quite right there lol.

I've looked everywhere on line and just can't find how you test this stator, from what I did find I seem to have different color wires. I have 3 yellow going to the rec, but I also have a block of six. 3 white with a yellow block on the cable, a white/blue,white/red and white/black.

I have my DVS in hand and just can't figure which cables to check.

Any help pointer will be greatly appreciated

Get a manual that has the motor in it and check every electrical part and wiring - follow the wiring schematic; clean all grounds, look for worn or damaged wiring. Stator should have two wires going to switchbox. Make sure any kill circuits are working and not shorting. Check the trigger coil as well. If all wiring and stator and trigger check out, it could be a defective switch box - by default. You could be picking up just enough voltage on the inductive pickup of your timing light to trigger the light but not fire the plug ....odd indeed ....got another timing light ?
