Just got a new motor in Sept and broke it in as the manual prescribes. Went out to do the oil change and noticed something I thought was odd.
After installing the new oil filter and putting in 3L of new oil, I noticed what I thought to be oil dripping near the filter and the thought was I did not get the filter on tight. At closer observation this was water, and it certianly looks like there is a little passage where water comes out just to the right of where the oil filter sits. Does this sound right?
I had a 2004 Merc 50 EFI and did 8 or so oil changes and never noticed this, so it seems a bit odd.
