2006 60 ELPTEFI Spewing Fuel from Vapor Separator Vent

Hi. Hope you're well.
Got a symptom that's new to me. 2006 60 4 stroke EFI.
I am having raw fuel spewing through the lower cover from the vapor separator top vent. What does this mean?

Is there a set-up procedure I should try?
Should I be getting fuel out of the schrader valve?

I looked at a video on swapping out the VST and it did not mention any post-swap set-up procedure. Looked like plug-n-play.
Any input?
