Greetings all.....I would really like to swap out the radio installed with the boat, but I just can't seem to remove it. I have taken off the faceplate...but there seems no way to slide it out, it is like it is bolted from behind..but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get at it. Does anyone any suggestions or experience in doing this seemingly simple task?

Re: 2006 Bayliner 245 - Help with Radio

You may want to look at my thread regarding my radio issues. May help some. I have a 1995 Capri, on her there are two pieces of plastic trim on the bezel surrounding the radio that pop off. It looks like they are not removeable and as though they are going to break but when they pop off, it exposes 2 screws on either side of the radio. once these were removed, the radio, sleeve and all slid straight out. Seemingly simple but it took me quite some time to figure this out and get brave enough to pop of the covers. And I installed car audio systems on the side for a couple of years to help me thru college. Guess its a little different when its your baby that your working on!
