looking at a boat with a 2006 Evinrude Ficht Ram Injection 150hp
are the 2006 models ok?
did they get all the problems worked out by then?

Verify the model number, spit. The name "FICHT" was not used after about 2001. If it is really a 2006 model it will be labelled simply as a DI engine or RAM DI.

The Ficht's have a terrible reputation in the marketplace, regardless of what they're called. I have E-Tecs on my boat, a completely different deal. While the 2006's are way beyond the 1999-2000 mess, I would not value a 2006 motor very high in the price of the rig.
