2006 Optimax 90 hp ecm failure, send ecm out for reflashing.

Send out the ecm to Simmons motor sports to flash the ecm. Any of you ever have experience with this.

Reflashing through Simons is $600 last I checked. If the ECU actually failed its not likely a program fault that you could fix through reflashing the ECU's ROM.

What seems to be wrong with the ECM?

Try contacting Mercury or a dealer with your serial number to make sure there was no service bulletins of what seems to be wrong.

Wired247 thank you for the reply. I have had luck with a reflash on older Optimax.
As always fun times thank you. Will do in the in morning.

No spark. Have fuel pressure and air pressure. No codes showing up on scan.

Got ecm back in four days. Installed, fired right up and running perfect. Simon Motorsports thank you very much.
