Anyone ever have the drain hose come completely off the fishbox? I left the valve at the in the bilge open and took on massive h2o. I figured out that the hose came off the fishbox and the water was just filling the hull. I tried to put the hose back on and it is about 5 inches too short. There is no way to even stretch it and make it work Do these things shrink with time? I'm thinking I'll probably just replace the whole thing. Also, where can I buy replacement hose?

I can't see a hose shrinking 5" so something else must have happened.

As for a replacement you would just need to know the inside diameter and the type of hose and you could order it on line from multiple places.. I am sure any marine supply store would have it, or even Home Depot or the like should also. Just cut a section off of what is left and take it with you.

I agree on the shrinking 5", but someone had to want 5" of hose pretty bad to take it, leave the clamps on it and put old silicone on there. Doesn't make any sense at all. Especially since they would have had to take off a screw down hatch to get to it. Only think I can think of is the guy that owned it before me stretched the hell out of it more than I ever would and that's why it eventually came off. I've had the boat 8 years so it lasted at least that long. Thanks for the Input thugh.

I could believe that. Possibly the PO had the end of the hose go bad and did not want to pull a new one so they cut it off and stretched it out to reconnect.
