2006 SeaFox 216 with Suzuki 140

My wife's uncle just bought a "new to him boat". Says the motor revs way to high and thinks it's the wrong prop. Anyone out there with same or similar setup have any suggestions on prop to use. Not my area of expertise at all. Thanks for any help.

Need to know a few things, like what is the WOT (Wide Open Throttle) rating for this motor? What number is he getting in relation to that?
What is "way too high"? Hundreds of RPM's?
What are the specs of the current prop? Diamater, pitch, # blades, material, etc.......

Having an underpitched prop can cause over rev.
