have ran boat for the past 2 days and it ran perfect as all ways
took boat out tonite got it up on plane and about 5000 rpms and it cut back to 3000 and sputtered and then took back off.
so i shut off motor and smoke was coming from under cowl ,, hit the key and it barley turns over.
oil is full and clean water pump was working fine but the motor was hot to the touch,
any ideas on what kind of mess i have gotten into???
