2007 150hp Suzuki misfire?

So looking at this boat for sale...has a complete rebuild on it less than 10hours. I've only talked to the guy on the phone but he says when he gets up to speed it starts making that brap brap brap sound like its misfiring? It hadnt thrown any codes to that point. He had the Icm changed and it fixed the problem for a short time then it happened again he says. Now has thrown a check engine code? He thinks its the brain box? Any ides here? Love the hull but dont want to spend a fortune fixing the OB

My idea is to let him get if fixed properly before even going to look at it.

Ya he doesnt want to spend anymore money on it, its an as is where is

In that case offer hiim what the boat and trailer alone is worth. You might end up getting a different engine or get lucky and repair that one cheaply.
