Hello,
I have an opportunity to buy a 2007 Mercury 4 stroke 90 HP EFI.
In my research I have found the gas line issues.

The motor looks to be in great condition, I haven't gone to see and hear it run yet.
The price is less than NADA book value.
I believe this is built not he yamaha powerhead. My number one concerns is reliability. I do what I can to assure little to no issues.
Fresh clean, non ethanol gas, topped off oil, fully charged batteries. That has proven to serve me well.
I am aware that 4 strokes "make gas".
I guess my question is, after correcting the hose issue. Would it be safe to say, with proper maintenance this should be a good running and reliable motor?
I need it to be because the wide will never let me hear the end of it.
Thanks!
