2007 evinrude etec 150

I have a pretty good amount of oil leaking from the bottom port into my air silencer and the motor is stalling out when I throttle it down to go changed the plugs last year and fuel filter and water separately any ideas of what might be wrong would be appreciated

ETEC owners share their concerns and questions on the ETEC owners board where you should also post your question which I understand to mean the engine bogs down upon accelaration


throttle down: are you saying down as in reducing speed or down in ref. to the shifter being pushed down....?

do any lights stay ON on the side of theEMM when running.?
do you have access the EV diagnostic software... you should if you intend servicing your ETEC ?

see section on EMM lights ....without EV diagnostics to read EMM stored codes it is all you have....see possible problem descriptions when ON - STARTING - RUNNING

bogging may be Throttle position issues, or just filters like the small VST conical filter impairing returning fuel flow from the Injectors line to the VST
crumbling hoses will fill it with samll specs of rubber.

same for out of sight HS pump "fuel input filer" and Injectors screens ...see video

if you do check it VST $$$$ nipples are easy to break off and a new ..rare VST is needed to replace. proceed with caution
