Yesterday I took my 2007 Suncruiser trinidad 222 pontoon out for the first time (just bought it) and when I first got going at full throttle a warning buzzer went off and brought the boat down to idle, shut motor off, started right up ran great at anything under 5k rpms once i went over 5k it would put the motor in safe mode. So cruised at 4500 rpm for an hour or so ran A1. Went down to idle speed motor killed and would not start again, smelled like it was flooded wanted to start but would not. Brought it to the dealership this morning and he asked if it would start if you used high idle (supposedly there is a switch on the shifting mechanism) but for the life of me I never ever saw anything high idle switch on this... Do they have high idle switches on a 07 EFI 4 stroke Merc 90? Really frustrated right now... Do not know what is wrong, pulled motor cover off and have never felt so helpless. I used to be good with the 2 stroke non efi models... I couldn't even find the spark plugs... Id imagine they are under the coil packs... Anyone have any similar issues or answers... Let me know... Thanks!
