I bought a new 2007 suzuki DF200. I also bought a trim guage (sterling edition). I am trying to hook up my guage so I will know where the motor is set at. I was told to buy a trim sender, but then a mechanic told me they were already mounted on those engines. I need to find out where to hook the guage to (I guess I need a wire diagram or picture of what I need to hook the guage to). I have been told to hook to a harness that has a black wire and a yellow wire, with a clear harness. Well I found a black wire and a white with a yellow strip, and a clear harness. But I just want to make sure so I won't hurt anything!

As long as you bought a Suzuki gauge, you will see the mating connector up under the dash area. Just plug it in and wire in the light to your other gauges.

Thanks for the reply but it is actually a telflex gauge to match the other gauges. I am just trying to find out which are the exact wires I need to hook the gauge to. I realize I will have to cut off the harness but just want to make sure I am cutting offtaping into the correct harness. Any pictures of the exact harness would be awesome!

I may be wrong but I dont think the Suzuki trim sender at the motor is compatable with the Teleflex gage. You may need the Teleflex trim sender?

OK I found the answer, It is a black wire and a white wire with yellow strip, the harness is clear with purple at the end.
