A New used boat (2007) after running a SeaRay OMC 800 stringer outdrive for 32 years. Bought from dealer. After 12 hours outdrive not acting right shifting. Drained oil and it's black as the night. Typically, my old OMC would have a little water past seals and be a tad milky - just changed it more (3-4 times a year). Ordered new lower VP Synthetic and it's what I would expect, it's a light clearish oil. Dealer had told me they had changed it, and used VP oil as they are a certified dealer for Volvo. Black? What would make this oil black after 12 hours of lake running. Reason for concern? No metal on bottom magnet drain plug. Thanks.
