2008 305 Scanner Adapter

looking for the correct part number for a OBD11 scanner adapter for a 2008 Volvo Penta 305 Fuel Injection engine, or a scanner tool with the correct plug for this engine.

A normal OBD scanner wont work as far as I know. You will need the marine specific version. For the 08 Volvo the very bottom plug is what you probably need, part 94027, but you also need the scanner to use it. If you have a plug that looks like the very top left, 94005 shoot me a pm, I have the scanner with that plug and live in Redondo.

gbeltran is correct. A OBD11 scanner will not work on a marine engine. If you order one from Rinda you will need to know which ECM you have. Volvo had a couple diff. ones. The plug for it is round 6 pin if i remember right.

You can buy the Techmate witch is cheaper.(94040 Basic scan tool kit $399.00 includes 94005 adapter)
94024 Volvo Penta 2006-07 EGC adapter. Cheaper to have the dealer look at it for as much as you might use or not use it.
