2008 GT 185 4.3 speedometer quit working

I've been told by several folks that my "pickup tube is most likely clogged" I have studied the stern drive and the transom and I cannot locate any resemblance of a pick up tube. Any help would sure be appreciated.

Easiest would like be to follow it from the helm and see where it actually does end up. Happened more than once that they are not hooked up at all (stern), or connected so badly (to the speedo at the helm) that they dump gallons of water "inside" the boat before anyone notices......
