I'm in the process of installing the sc1000 tachometer and speedometer in my boat. My boat came with the 14 pin harness (84-896537A) that has the can connection already in it. I'm planning on keeping my trim, fuel, and volt gauges analog. I ordered the sc1000 kit that included the speedometer and the cable for it; the tachometer and the cable for it; a 4 way junction box, and the temperature sensor. I also ordered (84-892453A01) adapter harness so I can keep my analog gauges. Do I need to have a termination resistor on the junction box?
I also have a humminbird 580 gps fishfinder that I would like to hook the nema wires from the gps puck to the speedometer. Is this possible?
Thanks.

Well here is the verdict... I went and called mercury customer support and found out that the 14 pin harness already has the resistor built in. So everything worked by just plugging it in. The gps connected right to the speedometer by but-splicing the wires together. Everything powered up and worked.
