The last time I had a problem with my boat I was able to have it running in no time thanks to the amazing help from everyone on here so once again I'm back to ask for advice again!

When I turn the key over the motor will not turn over, I have power to my radio & motor trim. I have had the battery tested and its great. when I engage the key I can hear a "click" sound. I don't know if that is my starter trying to work but has gone out or what. What is the correct way to test my starter if there is one would be great to know? I also have a nightmare of a wiring job under my dash to the fuse panel and I believe "2 BLACK" wires that have came unplugged but I do not know where they go. I plugged one into a empty slot and it instantly blew the 10A fuse. Is there any where I could find a good wiring diagram of what it should look like so I can clean this mess up?

a soft click could be the slave solenoid or just loose, battery cable connections

Ayuh,.... Black wires are usually Grounds, so ya created a dead short, that blew the fuse,....

No wirin' diagrams for most boats,.... Motors, yes, boats, nope,....

For yer startin' problems, start Here,...

While it's not a wiring diagram, here is a wiring color code for Tracker and Bass Tracker boats. http://www.tacklereviewer.com/freebi...wiring-diagram

Also bear in mind that a lot of boat manufacturers add additional wiring for other items not installed but might be considered an option to install later.

It's not a surprise to find extra unused grounds. Insulate then with tape and secure them, maybe with a tie wrap.
