200HP Black Max - Broken trigger???????

Hi All,

I have a 200 Black Max that stopped on me on the lake today.. I had my young fella on the kneeboard, he came off so when I stopped the motor for him to get re-set, it just wouldn't start.

I have the attached photo of a good motor and the piece that i have in the red circle has sheared off. Thinking this is the main issue. I think it's the 'Trigger' that sits under the Stator?

On the way out we hit a shallow sand bank at about 1/4 throttle, and after that she was hard to get into and out of gear. I was thinking it was a gear box/drive shaft issue, but was wondering if it all connected.

Any thoughts etc would be most welcome.

"Broken trigger" Pretty much says it all. Gotta be replaced. Deal with tha "shifting" problem after ya get tha motor straightened out.......jmo

Yep, just researching the new part now. Looks like it is still cheaper to import from USA than pay the local prices!

Might need a flywheel puller too!

You will need a flywheel puller...buy it on ebay.....
