Background: I got the boat for the motor, previous owner had health issues ended up never using it and it sat for a very long time. The motor is super is clean and has 140psi on all cylinders. It has no spark on all cylinders while turning over with the key and while performing the coil test in the diagnostic software. I have the service manual and have gone through a lot of the testing and have not found anything wrong or out of spec. I am looking for advice on what else to test. Diagnostic software info list lasted. Work done so far:
  • Cleaned every ground connection, disconnected every electrical connection, and sprayed electrical parts cleaner.
  • New relays, verified all fuses.
  • New throttle position sensor
  • Disconnected the black/yellow wire at the key to bypass the kill switch
Fault info listed at the end of fault page. I am unclear what it all means:
Brown wire (EMM J2 - pin 3) (12 volts) (0 ohms) and Green wire (EMM J1 - pin 6) (0.37 to 4.77 volts) (4000 to 8000 ohms) and Red wire (EMM J1 - pin 12) (5 volts) (3000 to 7000 ohms) and Black wire (EMM J1 - pin 18) (Ground negative).

tps value seems out of wack ... active faults

tps is a voltage derived from a variable resistance. ON ETECS it gets 5v from the EMM and a return voltage around betwen 0.15- 4.925 v max value tells the EMM where the throttle plate(s) are positionned.

recheck the TPS connections to get a proper voltage returned back to the EMM . Verify FICHT specs
