the water does not come out of the hole on the back of the motor I have a 60hp evenrude and it has lots of water. Ive been told this normal for this motor by the mach. who rebuilt it. Is this true or how can I fix it.

Are you talking about the little hole on the side of the cowl. If so try to clean it out some times dirt dobbers build nest in there

Thia should be in the outboards forum...That said you didn't mention what vintage your Merc was. The later ones have a passive bypass system that doesn't show a great water stream. Do you have flow from your prop hub?

If it's been 2 years since, you should do an impeller anyway.

the motor is a 1979 mercury 200 2 stroke and the water does come out the prop as it should.
