Does anyone know the wire gauge of the starter wire on a 2011 Yamaha F40LEHA OB Motor? Should there be a fuse or breaker on that connection?

I am still not sure if you are speaking of battery cables or if it is some control wiring.
battery cables need to have the length taken in to consideration.

I would match up what you took out or go bigger
