2012 Build 98 Stingray 190ls project!!

Some of you may have seen my post last year when I bought my stingray. If not here is a build thread from last year-

I had a lot of fun on the boat last year and this year I am going to make it look new!! Here is what I have in store-


-New Fuel Gauge (The needle broke off inside the gauge)
-MPH Gauge never worked
-Trailer bearings repacked
-New Bilge pump
-New Rub Rail
-Sand rear right side and re Gel coat
-Paint boat
-Paint Trailer
-Powdercoat wheels
-Adjust Trim Gauge to Trim Senders
-New Blower
-Bimini Top
-Reupholster
-Tint Windows
-New Rear light pole and socket
-reinforced the wakeboard tower


I believe that covers everything on my to do list before I get out on the lake this year. Now for the pictures!


This is the boat last year after we got it running and out on the lake.

I should have got more picture of it before I started to take it apart but here is where I was when I started the project about a week ago.

New the plan was for me to do the upholstry myself but my sewing machine was having problems and that has kinda put me on a delay. Here is what I have done so far though.

I had a few hours last night so I made some new wood panels. I just took the old panels and screwed two boards under it. Trimmed it close on the bandsaw and then routed it out. Then I changed out the bit and rounded the edges. Added the new hardware and painted with water sealer.

Pulled the boat out to wash it and found a few more imperfections that I need to fix before painting. I hope I can paint tomorrow!

I built a new back rest for the rear bench. Turned out good.

I also got my sewing machine back. It needed a little more then a tune up. Anyways check out the one piece I have done with it. (Its not on the seat yet so its not stretched.)

Here is the first coat of red. It almost looks like its laid on bad but its just the bad picture quality of this POS Iphone. If it was that bad you wouldn't see the reflection of myself in the paint.. lol
