Good Morning, I have a 2014 Pro Xs, is am receiving a critical low voltage alarm. Went fishing boat started and ran perfect, got home doing my routine cleaning and checks, noticed that when i turned on the key i didn't have a system beep. went under the dash to check fuses, moved the wiring harness and got the beep. Removed the under dash wiring harness noticed that I had a broken purple wire going to the alarm in the wiring harness. I repaired the harness, completed a pin to pin check on the complete wiring harness and cleaning every pin. Installed the harness back under the dash. Turned the key got the system check beep, then i got a long steady beep with a error that says critical low voltage. Thing I have tested.

1. tested the battery after charging all night, batt tested perfect.
2. removed and installed a new battery, only hooking up the main wires, removing any components that could draw power.

After all of this, turn on the key, system beep, then long beep with critical low voltage alarm.

suggestions?

Recharge new battery, unplug alternator on engine and re test in morning. If voltage did not drop to cause alarm the diode pack is damaged in alternator.

Hi

what voltage did your smart craft tell you when the engine is running ? Or will it not start ? You will likely have smart craft on that engine and a voltage indication. Anything other than a perfect battery just won’t do on these new engines. So important.

Hi

my vessel view showed me charging between 14.3 to 14.7. Boat ran perfectly. Made a repair to wht under dash wiring harnse to fix the alarm speake . Now engine wor start as soon. As I turn on the key I get the system been and then a steady alarm. Vessel view smart gauge says critical low voltage. Going in shop tomorrow, maybe they can figure it out.

Thanks for the help.

Good morning,

Update on the critical low voltage alarm. Took the boat the shop had it looked as. The tech looked it over and found I had a smoked alternator, smoked dioad and a bad VST system. This was due to a battery switch I installed a while back. Best guess was the switch was on battery 1 and 2 combined, that smoked the alternato . So yea $2500.00 boat is fixed runs perfectly.

thanks for everyone help.
