There is lots to know about this new boat and seems to be no body saying it, so here goes.
I was shopping for a new 1860 for duck hunting, and cats on the river. I had pretty much ruled out the Tracker line due to their habit of bad welding, and the lower horsepower rating when compared to all other brands. Then the 2015 came out.
The 2015 model won me over with the new shape. It reaches full width at the end of the front deck instead of tapering all the way back. This seams to add tons of floor space, and adds to the overall dry ride compared to the older boats. The floor is finished in heavy aluminum and insulated. So are the sides. Its a great great boat.
Now for the verdict...
.... Don't buy the boat. The boat put on 100 lbs over last year but still has the same 40hp max rating. It isn't nearly enough motor for a boat this size. I really didn't know how bad it would be when I bought it. With a hunting load of three guys, decoys, and normal gear; top speed was in the low 20s (propped for the load
