I am trying to remove the intake manifold and have followed the instructions in the service manual starting on page 6-30. The back of the manifold is loose but the front is not. It appears to me from looking at photos of the manifold that the ETV has 4 bolts that are attached to the manifold. Am I missing something? If I need to remove the 4 bolts from the ETV in order to get the intake manifold off, why isn't it in the instructions?? Or is it just a snug fit and I need to pull harder? I have confirmed that I have the correct service manual for this motor.

Parts list and SM show a total of nine bolts. Looks like four up front and five in the rear.

Yamaha service manuals are written for Yamaha trained mechanics. They do not go into the detail that are needed by some backyardigans.
