Hello. I recently purchased a used 2016 Tracker Tahoe 450TF bowrider with a 2016 Mercury 115 four stroke outboard. I was told from the dealer that it had around 129 hours on it, and I have put around 10 hours on it since the purchase. Does anyone else on here own a similar boat that I can compare my boat to? This thing is a dog to get up on plane. With 2 adults it will plane but takes over 10 seconds from an idle to get up on plane at full speed of 41mph running 5900 rpms. Saturday we took our son and his wife and 1 young grandchild out in it and the only way we get the boat on plane was to move an adult and grandchild to the front seats in the bow. My rpm's are maxed out so I know my prop pitch is correct and the blades are in mint condition with 0 dents or dings. It is a factory Mercury aluminum prop. Also, when I load the boat back on the trailer, I have to give her full throttle and I still cannot seat the boat in the bow stop. Someone has to attach the winch cable to the bow and assist while running the engine at full throttle to fully seat it back on the trailer. The engine does not surge or miss, and it reaches full throttle rpms. The boat is not over weight and the hull is slick like new with 0 damage. My boat is rated for a 150 max hp and I'm wandering if I need to install the larger engine to resolve my plane hole-shot. Online this boat is rated to reach a top speed of close to 50mph and I'm struggling to see a 40mph top speed with 2 adults and very little extra luggage. This is my first 4 stroke outboard but compared to a 2 stroke 115 on a 19" runabout it seems very under powered. I have researched to see if there are any performance ECU tunes available with no luck . Thanks for any suggestions.
