hi all
I purchased a 20 hp honda last fall that had about 20 hours on it sense then I put probably about 30 hours on it without issue
last weekend I had my kids out tubing and about a hour of running it completely quit started up and quit again...
sense then it hasn't ever made a gesture of wanting to start..
so pulled out the plugs and found one plug was completely dead .
perfect thought I found problem but no still a no go pulled the fuel line off the carb and cranked it and lots of fuel getting to carb.
tank is full of brand new high test gas.
not making any sense at this point
tried tapping lightly on carb but nothing
so have fire
have gas to the carb
oil level seem good ..
anybody ever have this issue
it's a honda it not supposed to break LOL
is there a fuse or something tham may have blown? Timing issue ? computer issue?
and go figure the warranty ran out about 3 months ago LOL
thanks in advance

You need 3 things to run; fuel, compression and spark. One of the 3 are missing. Spark is the easiest to check for. Take one of the spark plugs out, put it in the plug cap and put the metal part of the spark plug against a metal part of the motor. Hit the start button and look for a spark. If you don't see an obvious spark then that's your problem. If you do see a spark, shoot a little starting fluid in the carburetor and try to start it. If it starts for a moment then stalls, then you've got a fuel problem.

Is there a fuel/water separator on the boat? If not, maybe you just got a little water in the gas, that is now in the carburetor. Drain the carburetor into a cup or glass, if there's water in the fuel it will look like a little bubble on the bottom.
