I am looking into trying out different props for my boat, to get the best out of it regarding top speed while also having a solid hole shot. The current prop came stock and is a Black Max 10 3/8 x 14p. By myself, I can get it up to around 34mph and it runs around 5800 RPMs. But I fish bass tournaments and usually have a loaded down boat with a full live well and a partner in the boat. When my boat is fully loaded, I get around 31mph and runs a little closer to 6000 rpm but my hole shot decreases somewhat drastically with the nature of the boat being back heavy as it is. I recently wanted to get a new prop in an attempt to get a higher top speed, I went with a black max 15p but couldn't even get off plane. So my question is if I went with the 4-blade spitfire 15p prop, around what mph would my top speed be at, and would that 4-blade 15p be able to get me on plane? Or what prop would you guys recommend to increase my top speed without drastically decreasing my hole shot? Thank you in advance.
