2007 Regal 27 foot with VP 5.7GXI-H owned for 3 months
First trip- Serpentine belt kept coming off - replaced belt, tensioner and idler pulley. Still comes off but believe it is the corroded circulation pump pulley. New one coming

First long trip - after 32 miles at 3500 RPM it started running sluggish and struggled to get on plane. blew a bunch of carbon out the exhaust.

Recent trip - Fuel pumps quit working. diagnosed a bad relay and replaced. Also replaced the ignition coil with a cheap (Chinese) unit from Amazon. Also replaced the fuel pumps with a cheap Amazon replacement. On the next trip it ran great until running on plane for 10 minutes. It then started sputtering and the alarm sounding as if it was overheated and/or starving for fuel. I checked fuel system and found dirt in the regulator. Cleaned it. The boat seemed to run fine.

Most recent trip (one day ago) - The boat seemed to run fine and got up on plane effortlessly. Ran at 3200 RPM for 20 minutes and it suddenly quit. It does not currently have spark. It does not seem to be the relay, kill switch, or starter switch.

I haven't been able to properly check for voltage at the coil. I don't believe this to be an overheating issue. I suspect a bad coil (new) or Crankshaft Position Sensor. I would appreciate instructions on how to test for voltage to coil and to check if CPS is the problem. I am checking for spark before the distributor.

The boat is in Punta Gorda, Florida and if anyone can recommend a mobile VP mechanic I would appreciate it. I have had nothing but problems since owning the boat.
