What did you torque it too?... have you tried some pb blaster??.. what won't come off the nut or the flywheel?

I torqued the nut to 45 ft lbs. The nut came off fine just can't get the flywheel to come off. I'm using one of those flywheel pullers that has three jaw like things but it wont budge.

Wrong puller if it is the type that the jaws pull under the outer flywheel rim.
You need a puller that uses bolts that thread into purpose-tapped holes in the flywheel.

ok well for all my lawn equipment i stick two screwdrivers behind the flywheel and hold them tight against the flywheel than gently hit the shaft with a rubber mallet.. thats how i do it but maybe someone will chime in with a better way

Well embarrassing as it is I didn't read those last few posts till the damage was done. With that wrong puller i was using i bend the teeth on the flywheel and still it didnt come out. does anyone know where i can get a new flywheel used?
